I just finished reading the Texas GOP far-right platform, and jeez-Louise, I thought I just read a gunman’s manifesto. The document is so insane that I don’t even know where to begin, so I’m just gonna link a Reddit thread here that discusses some of the insanity in detail.

Overall, I’m not sure how much of what they say will be what they do, but even if they achieve half of their outlined goals, America needs to brace for a very different kind of future. The Texas GOP sees the world as being very black and white, and if it were up to them, they would only see the white. They envision a colorblind America, and their lack of the full visual spectrum is very concerning. I don’t want to live in the America they are aiming to achieve, but I fear they have too much momentum to stop them in their tracks. This is my plea for my fellow Americans to be the roadblocks that will take the air out of their tires. The “Texas Republican Party” no longer exists, for it’s been highjacked by something entirely else.
